The Buses for All (BFA) campaign in Europe was for fully accessible buses for 80 million disabled people to be guaranteed by law across all the EU countries.
And it was a success, it took six years but we won!
The BFA campaign started at a conference in Manchester in 1995 chaired by Lorraine Gradwell, and ended in 2001 when the change in European law was voted for.

Associated with this campaign in the UK (England and Wales) was the Disabled People’s Direct Action Network – DAN – which campaigned for fully accessible public transport (not just buses) from 1993 to 2011.
