Lorraine Gradwell – my sweet love, partner, wife and best friend for 32 years, died peacefully on 3 September 2017 surrounded by her family. RIP

Her obituary is in The Guardian newspaper (and in print edition on 5 October 2017)

Online TRIBUTES are being pulled together into one place by her daughter Jenny – www.lorrainegradwell.weebly.com

A CELEBRATION of Lorraine’s life was held on 2 October 2017 at Gorton Monastery, and these tributes are recorded in this booklet – Celebration of Lorraine Gradwell – Tributes – ISBN 9780993526732

This was a new page, firstly to share this booklet of Lorraine’s early life. She and I worked on that booklet together in the summer of 2017, putting her great stories and exploits down on paper to share with her wide circle of friends as well as our family.

Secondly, her writings as a radical disability rights activist:

And thirdly, some of her poetry:

Of course, there is Lorraine’s blog, sub-titled “the musings of a knackered activist

Also this scrap book ( large PDF )

And a CV she had to write in 2014 for a project ( I had to keep reminding her of key achievements, to which she’d say, “they won’t be interested in that”, too modest )

A tribute in the Disability News Service ( 5 pages )

A draft list of Lorraine’s collection of campaign t-shirts.

More will follow in due course.
